3. How We Use Information

We may use personal data to:

  • create and manage user accounts and workspaces;
  • authenticate users and secure the Services;
  • generate website demos and preview chatbots;
  • scan, analyze, and process submitted websites so we can configure demos, create knowledge sources, set up onboarding, or improve chatbot responses;
  • connect stores, payment flows, and integrations you request;
  • provide customer support, transactional emails, and service notices;
  • monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;

4. Website Scanning and Submitted URLs

If you submit a website URL through our demo generator, signup flow, onboarding flow, or another feature, we may access, retrieve, analyze, and store content from that website to provide the requested service. This may include scanning publicly accessible pages, extracting content and metadata, creating internal knowledge-source records, and storing results associated with your account, workspace, or demo request.

You should only submit a website if you are authorized to do so and authorized to allow Agnitio to analyze that website for these purposes.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction that requires a legal basis, we typically process data on one or more of the following bases:

  • performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract;
  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services;
  • your consent, where consent is legally required; and
  • compliance with legal obligations.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and maintain service functionality.

Google Analytics is not currently enabled. If we enable Google Analytics or similar analytics tools in the future, we may collect information about how users interact with our website and Services, including page views, session information, device/browser identifiers, and referral data. Before doing so, we intend to update this Privacy Policy and implement any additional notice, cookie controls, or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • cloud hosting, authentication, database, and infrastructure providers;
  • email delivery, customer communication, and support vendors;
  • payment processors and billing providers for subscriptions and purchases, including Paddle as merchant of record for applicable transactions;
  • integration partners you choose to connect, such as Shopify or Google;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal counsel; and
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement, or transaction counterparties where legally required or reasonably necessary.

We do not sell personal data in the ordinary sense of selling customer lists for money. If a law uses a broader definition of "sale" or "sharing," your rights may vary by jurisdiction.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain appropriate business and security records. We may keep backup copies and logs for a limited period after deletion where legally permitted.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export certain personal data, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing. You may also have the right to appeal a denied request or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.
